Optimizing Campaigns with Autopilot Mode
Autopilot is AI Install's fully automated campaign optimization engine. Once enabled, it continuously monitors and adjusts your campaigns to maximize results.
What Autopilot Does
- Bid adjustments: Real-time bid changes based on conversion probability
- Budget allocation: Shifts spend from underperformers to top performers
- Creative rotation: Detects fatigue and rotates in fresh variations
- Audience refinement: Narrows or expands targeting based on conversions
- Schedule optimization: Adjusts delivery timing for peak performance
1
Enable Autopilot
Go to any active campaign and toggle Autopilot to ON. You can also enable it globally from Settings → Campaign Defaults.

2
Set Your Optimization Goal
Tell Autopilot what to optimize for:
- Maximize Conversions: Most conversions within budget
- Target CPA: Stay at or below a specific cost
- Target ROAS: Hit a minimum return on spend
- Maximize Reach: Show ads to as many people as possible

Start with Maximize Conversions, then switch to Target CPA after 50+ conversions.
3
Set Guard Rails
Autopilot respects your limits:
- Maximum daily budget: Never exceeded
- Maximum CPA ceiling: Campaigns pause if CPA exceeds this
- Minimum ROAS floor: Budget shifts away from underperformers

4
Monitor the Activity Log
Autopilot logs every action. Review the Activity Log to understand changes and why they were made.

How Autopilot Makes Decisions
The AI evaluates performance every hour using:
- Conversion rate trends over 24, 48, and 72 hours
- CPA relative to target and historical average
- Creative engagement metrics (CTR, video watch time)
- Audience overlap and frequency data
- Time-of-day and day-of-week patterns
When to Override Autopilot
- Major promotions: Override budget limits for sales events
- New product launches: Pause existing campaigns to focus budget
- Seasonal changes: Adjust targets for known busy/slow periods
Toggle Autopilot off, make changes, and toggle back on when ready.
Best Practices
- Let Autopilot run at least 7 days before evaluating
- Start with broader guard rails and tighten with data
- Review the Activity Log weekly
- Trust the data-driven decisions
