Understanding Your Ad Performance Dashboard
Your performance dashboard is where you track how your ad campaigns are doing. This tutorial explains every section and metric.
Dashboard Overview
Key Metrics Cards
At the top, summary cards show your most important numbers:
- Total Spend: How much spent in the selected time period
- Impressions: How many times your ads were shown
- Clicks: How many people clicked your ads
- Conversions: Completed desired actions (purchases, signups)
- CPA: Average cost per conversion
- ROAS: Return on ad spend
Performance Chart
The main chart shows performance over time. Toggle between metrics and adjust date ranges. Look for trends:
- Upward conversions with stable CPA — Campaigns are scaling well
- Rising CPA with flat conversions — May indicate creative fatigue
- Sudden drops — Check if budget ran out or ads were paused
Campaign Breakdown
A table showing each campaign and its individual performance. Focus on: Status, Spend, Results, and Cost per Result.
AI Insights Panel
AI-generated analysis in plain English. Highlights what is working, what needs attention, and specific recommendations. Updated daily.
Understanding Key Metrics
CTR (Click-Through Rate)
Percentage who click after seeing your ad. Healthy range: 1-3%. Below 1% means creative or targeting needs work.
CPA (Cost Per Acquisition)
Cost per conversion. Compare to customer lifetime value — as long as CPA is significantly below LTV, you are profitable.
ROAS (Return on Ad Spend)
Revenue divided by spend. A 3.0x ROAS means $3 earned per $1 spent. 2.0x-4.0x is healthy for most businesses.
Frequency
How many times the average person saw your ad. Above 3-4, creative fatigue often sets in. AI Install monitors this automatically.
Tips
- Check 2-3 times per week, not multiple times per day
- Look at 7-day trends, not single-day snapshots
- Read the AI Insights panel — it catches things you might miss
